Lee D. Wedekind, III

Lee is a proud Jacksonville native who graduated from The Bolles School before attending college at Wake Forest University and law school at the University of Richmond School of Law. Following graduation, Lee returned home to practice at a well-respected local firm before being recruited to help open the litigation practice in the Jacksonville office of an AmLaw 100 national firm. He opened Wedekind LLP in 2024 to provide clients with Big Law experience rooted in the Jacksonville community.
Lee is a commercial litigator and trial lawyer who advises clients in avoiding and resolving complex business disputes. His practice includes advising boards, executives and in-house counsel on strategic issues involving risk management, corporate governance and liabilities. Lee’s experience includes handling litigation matters involving shareholder disputes, fiduciary duties, breach of contract, high-net-worth trusts and estates, employment-related claims, eminent domain and condemnation, product liability, franchises and dealerships, and appeals. He is commonly retained in matters where an aggressive litigation strategy is necessary. Lee is experienced in litigation matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings.
Lee holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of ethical standards and legal ability. He has also been recognized in Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”, as a SuperLawyers Rising Star, and by Best Lawyers in America.
Outside his legal career, Lee enjoys rooting for the Florida Gators, hiking the North Carolina mountains, spending time with his wife Suzanne, and cheering on the various pursuits of their children Mary Bullock, Bo and Tucker.
