Jackson M. Story
Associate
Jack is a Jacksonville native and lifelong resident of Northeast Florida. Jack earned his International Baccalaureate Diploma after graduating from Stanton College Preparatory School in 2014. Jack is a “double gator” who bleeds the orange and blue, having earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Following his time in Gainesville, Jack began his legal career in Jacksonville and has practiced as a litigation associate at two AmLaw 100 firms in Jacksonville before joining Wedekind LLP. Jack brings a wealth of litigation experience from two Big Law firms to provide Wedekind LLP clients top level legal services.
Jack’s experience is centered upon financial services litigation. Jack has represented systemically important financial institutions, a Fortune 500 financial technology company, major mortgage servicers, private equity companies, large corporate debtors, U.S. Trustees, large corporate landlords, and individuals in state and federal courts across the United States, including in bankruptcy court. Jack has obtained favorable outcomes for clients in matters involving foreclosure, replevin, statutory debt collection and reporting, contract and quasi-contract, real property, landlord-tenant, and other complex commercial claims. In addition to his financial services experience, Jack has also represented clients in transportation and logistics litigation, including a Class I rail carrier in complex matters involving the Interstate Commerce Commission Termination Act.
Since becoming a lawyer in 2021, Jack has volunteered over fifty hours of his time annually to represent clients in a variety of legal areas on a pro bono basis. Jack has also been a mentor of aspiring legal scholars in the Ribault and Raines Future Lawyers Program.
